There’s an old saying that goes, “When in Rome, do as the Romans do.” And apparently that adage also applies to Istanbul, at least when Paris Hilton is involved.The “Simple Life” babe was in the Turkish city yesterday as a judge in the Miss Turkey 2008 pageant when she became a little more involved with the proceedings than she had planned.
A performing belly dancer escorted her onto the stage during a routine and led Paris through a few traditional moves before letting her return to her seat. And Miss Hilton looked relieved to sit back down.
Prior to the competition, she told press, “This is my first time judging anything like this. I’m going to look at how the girls carry themselves, what they look like, the way they dress and what they say.”
