Kanye West’s Tribute to Mama

Kanye West having lost his mother last November, the “Jesus Walks” rapper made sure she was remembered via his Grammy Awards performance.
Following his performance of “Stronger,” Kanye launched into a low-key version of “Hey Mama.” Tears welled up in his eyes as his voice broke throughout the performance.
Later, as he accepted the Grammy for Best Rap Album, West addressed the audience regarding his gratitude for their support. “I appreciate all the words of support, appreciate all the prayers.”
As his speech became more lengthy, producers tried to usher him offstage by playing music over his talking. But Kanye wasn’t having it. He boldly declared, “It would be in good taste to stop the music now.”
He continued, “I know you’re really proud of me right now, and I know you wouldn’t want me to stop ... and mama, all I want to do is keep making you proud.”

Rihanna’s Grammy Night

Now that it’s over and done with, Rihanna can look back on the 50th Annual Grammy Awards with fondness and pride. After all, she took home her first Grammy.
Winning a trophy for Best Rap/Song Collaboration, the “Umbrella” singer also put on a killer performance as part of the night’s festivities.
From the time she arrived, looking ravishing on the red carpet, until the EW after party, Rihanna clearly brought her fashion A-game. She ended the night in a classic short black dress with a frilly sleeveless shawl.
This “Good Girl Gone Bad” may have already accomplished more than she had ever dreamed, but something tells us she’s just getting started.

The Spice Girls Say Goodbye to New York City

To wrap up their New York area shows, the Spice Girls were joined on stage by nearly all of the Spice children at Madison Square Garden last night for a special performance of their hit song “Mama”.
The only Spice offspring missing from the entertaining family sing-along was Melanie Brown’s oldest daughter, Phoenix.
Funnily enough, the event turned into a family dance-along when Victoria Beckham’s youngest son, Cruz, started breaking out the moves - including an attempt to spin on his head.
From here, Victoria, Geri, Melanie, Emma and Mel only have a few shows left.

It was a big night in London, England at the Brit Awards.
Among the bevy of famous and beautiful people in the house was none other than Kylie Minogue. The awesome Aussie singer who showed up in a gorgeous black knee-length dress and plenty of bling on her neck and ears.
Also in attendance was Rihanna. Following the short dress trend, the “Umbrella” singer rocked a cute silver garment with matching strappy shoes and her trademark smile.
And Scottish songstress KT Tunstall made her way down the red carpet in a printed cap sleeve dress and some funky earrings as she smiled for the cameras.
Wow, they are both sexy.

Backstreet Boys Land Down Under

It seems that more and more American celebrities are making their way to Australia these days. And the latest US imports to hit Aussie shores are the Backstreet Boys.
Touring for their latest release (sans Kevin Richardson) “Unbreakable.

The “I Want it That Way” singers will be kicking off their Australian tour tonight in Brisbane, before touring Melbourne and Sydney.
And though they’ve been doing the whole pop star thing for over a decade now, these boys still look as fit and excited to be making music as they did in the beginning.
