DO NIGERIANS KNOW MUCH ABOUT THE REST OF AFRICA?

I have had a chance to visit Nigeria and have a few friends there. What I have noticed is that they seem to have very little knowledge of East Africa.

When I told one of my friends that Mt, Kenya has snow at the top, he was adamant that there is no snow in Africa! And he ie a graduate of The University of Abuja. Yet another, who is currently taking Law in Lagos University does not know the time difference between Kenya and Nigeria! Another lady thought Kenya is a jungle. That Africa does not have a jungle did not occur to her.

Why this ignorance? Even a Primary school kid in Kenya can tell you about Nigeria.
